It's a great, easy way of watching the most-talked about videos on our big-screen TVs. YouTube has now crafted a special PS3-optimized version of their page which you access by going to youtube.com/tv on your PS3 browser (it won't work on your computer, sorry!). It makes the entire process a lot more streamlined. Check out a YouTube video of YouTube's new PS3 page, after the break (how meta).

No pre-order? CVG has been nattering with Bruce Straley, one of the game's directors, who has revealed that the baddies in Uncharted 2 will feature improved intelligence. Specifically, they will now "hunt" and "investigate" based on movement in their peripheral vision. "When Drake enters this peripheral vision the enemies will look over in the direction they think they saw him in and depending on how long he was in this vision cone, they may just look or they may walk over and check out what they think they saw."

"If they lose eye contact with Drake for a few seconds, one or more enemies will start hunting around the area, starting with his last known location, and then spread their search out if he's not found." This hunting behaviour means that the enemies will need to be able to follow Drake wherever he goes, which means jumping and climbing around the environment. "The benefit to this was our combat wasn't limited to flat terrain anymore."

Sounds great to us. One of our biggest gripes with Uncharted 1 was that at any given point you were either fighting or platforming. Hopefully we'll see more of a crossover in the sequel. Apparently more details will be forthcoming once CVG posts the full interview with Straley tomorrow.

Flower flies to PSN in February

You won't have to wait too long for thatgamecompany's next game, Flower. So if you've always wanted to show the guys who made Resistance 2 just how much better than them you are at their game, this might be your chance.
Announcement Thread

Danish police respond to gunfire reports ... was only PS3

Like to play shooters with the volume at full blast? Sure, that home theater setup might give stellar surround sound and it can even make things sound as real as possible, but it could also land you into a lot of trouble. Take the case of two 21-year old gamers from Valby, Denmark for example; just over the weekend, the boys were detained by Danish authorities who were responding to gunfire reports in the neighborhood.

Neighbors mistook the gunshots heard from the boys' "PlayStation game" as actual gunfire and reciprocated with emergency calls to the police authorities. The volume was turned up so loud that the boys could not initially hear the police calling out to them via megaphone. Luckily, no one got hurt when the boys were finally detained. The cops searched the apartment, found no weapons and came to the conclusion that the noises were coming from the game playing on the television. The two were allowed back into their apartment without any further incident.

So what have we learned today, children? That gaming has become such a viscerally real experience that its world of imagination can be misconstrued as real. Oh, and make sure to keep the volume at a moderate level, please.

[Via N4G]

Sony gives away money in PlayStation Home ... in Hong Kong

This is a promo we'd love to see in our region. Clues can be found on posters in the service.

The money certainly isn't enough to buy anything significant, but it is enough to buy a trinket from the PlayStation Home's in-world store. Instead of the predicted $2.2 billion profit for its 2008 fiscal year (which ends on March 31st, 2009), Sony could post a loss of $1.1 billion.

The report comes from the Nikkei Business Daily which was picked up by Reuters. This possible profit loss could make the planned restructuring get completed earlier than March 2010 -- which would cut 4% of Sony's workforce or 9000 jobs.

This would be Sony's first posted loss in 14 years and only its second publically reported loss ever. Tolkien's literary property and the result... Lord of the Rings: Conquest. Pandemic and EA have released the official launch trailer with plenty of pretty words to aid you in deciding what you shall be within the game.

It's shipping to stores as you read this. The game is available for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Being a fan of the Battlefront series, I've tried the demo online and the ol' rule still holds true... multiplayer online is just too much fun. Favorite class so far is the rogue, as nothing seems to satisfy as much as climbing up a treant to stab it in the face, cloak, one-shot a mage, and cap the territory all within one sequence.

Will you guys be checking this one out?

Mirror's Edge DLC rolls onto PSN on 1/29

</objec

Ea Sports Gets Into The Sneaker Business

Game sneakers? You have an extensive porn digital movie collection, want to watch them in the living room but don't have a PC connected to your TV. What to do?

You buy Golden Signals' $50 "Display Share", that's what you do. Display Share is a PC program that, once installed, lets you stream whatever's running on your PC screen to your PS3. Anything. Pictures, music, movies, the works (well, except for games, there's too much lag).

Sure, the PS3 can handle some digital movie files pretty well, but there are others it won't pick up. This gets around that. It'll even pipe the sound through your TV speakers.

MLB 09 The Show - Franchise Mode Enhancements

When we set out this year’s plan, one of our goals was to blow out the personnel aspects of the Franchise experience. Starting with the beginning of spring training, the rosters you will carry into spring will be those of their real-life counterpart, the long awaited 40-man rosters. Now you will have to manage your Spring Training roster a little more carefully to ensure your young players get the looks they need.
Moving on to the regular season, you will now be dealing with many of the various roster-related items all GMs have to deal with. You will be in control of designating players for assignment, waiver transactions, handling Minor League options, and managing your 40-man roster. Once in June, you will have the Amateur Draft to participate in. Along with drafting players, the Amateur Draft also includes Supplemental picks for those teams that failed to re-sign Type A or Type B free agents in the offseason.

Once your season hits September, your 25-man roster will expand to the full 40-man where you will then have to decide who get’s the call and who doesn’t. If your Franchise is successful enough to make the playoffs, you will have to manage your rosters accordingly, and will only be able to replace players on the roster between series.
Via PS Blog

Fallout 3 Bug Fix Update Hits PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 Today

A patch to fix quite a number of bugs in Fallout 3 hits all versions of the role-playing game today, Bethesda says.

The update is available for the English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish versions. But no. Michael Pachter, analyst at Wedbush Morgan, had to "predict" a PS3 drop in April. Drats, we were looking forward to this one too. Unfortunately, with Pachter's track record, it's pretty good to bet that he'll be wrong.

"Once the PS3 is at a more affordable price point (we expect a cut to $299 in April), we think that sales of that device will once again begin to grow," he states. However, don't expect Microsoft to take that sitting down. "We expect another cut in price for the Xbox 360, with the feature-laden Pro model likely to come down in price to $249 at or before this year's E3 show in June." Nintendo, however, has no reason to lower its price and will unlikely drop the price of the bestselling Wii.

Pachter is right once in a while, so we're optimistic that a price drop will happen. Perhaps it won't be as significant as $100 off, or perhaps it won't happen in April. It'll be interesting to see what Sony chooses in '09: their bottom line, or making a more aggressive attack in the console wars.
Via PS3 Fanboy

Use DualShock 3 with rumble on PC thanks to new hack

People have been using Sixaxis controllers on PCs for a long time now. But, what about DualShock 3s with rumble support? Apparently, it's now possible. A Japanese coder has released four drivers which allow Windows users to play games on PC with a DS3, tweak some of the controller parameters and subsequently employ rumble. It sounds like a fun experiment to play around with, though, from the looks of it, the driver menus are mostly in Japanese. You might have to try your luck with a Japanese copy as Square Enix has said that "at present the FINAL FANTASY XIII demo will only be available in Japan with the Blu Ray release of Advent Children Complete, but we hope to have further news in the coming months." Feel free to keep your fingers crossed for that.

With FFXIII releasing on both PS3 and Xbox 360 outside of Japan we imagine demo distribution will be a bit more complex. Especially since development on the 360 version hasn't even started, so a demo will be a long way off. Long gone are the days of the blue and red paper glasses, replaced with polarized lenses or even standalone displays that promise they can provide the effect without having to wear anything on your head.

3D is getting big in Hollywood as well, and fast. James Cameron has long been working on Avatar, a 3D-only film, and has said that all of his future work will be shot in 3D. At Sony's CES press conference this year, there were announcements that Toy Story 1 and 2 would be re-released in 3D, and a third film would be coming in the same form. Dreamworks announced that all of its future projects would be in 3D. The list goes on and on…

But that's not all. At Sony's booth, a handful of PlayStation 3 titles were running 3D demos, including WipEout HD, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. Our guys that have seen it say it's pretty amazing.

Via IGN

Killzone 2 Preview

In an interview with Silicon Alley Insider, Susan Panico (Senior Director of the PlayStation Network) says that content in the social networking service is selling tremendously. In fact, in the first four days of the open beta Home produced more money for Sony than the video download service did in its first week.

We're disheartened to hear that one of the biggest sellers is the ridiculously priced Santa outfit. So if you went ahead and bought a £5 Santa suit: congratulations. You've just told Sony that it's okay to charge 79p for a pair of virtual gloves.

Panico says it's "a classic 80/20 model, where 20 percent of your customers create 80 percent of your income." Makes sense to us. There's already a very vocal pro-Home community. We'll be happy to join in next month when some of that promised content starts to drop.

American PSN releases for December 23rd

The waiting's finally over. Those expecting all the features of 1.30 will be disappointed to hear that the patch won't be available to download until the new year. "Unfortunately, due to the Holidays the update will not be approved by SCE Format QA until early next year. Our QA staff will be here, testing the game over vacation, but the SCE QA teams which must approve the update before release will not."

As of now, it appears the patch will be available during the week of January 5th or January 12th. When Sony launched the PS3, it lost over $200 on every unit sold -- in spite of its $600 price point. However, over time Sony has been able to reduce the costs of manufacturing the system, by removing PS2 compatibility and switching over to a more efficient 65-nanometer chips.

iSuppli, the company which broke down the PS3 at launch, estimated the cost of making a PS3 was more than $840. Now, they say the PS3 costs 53% less to make -- at around $445, for a system which sells at $400. Sony is still losing money on each system sold, but in a much less extraordinary way.

Not only are the individual components cheaper to make, there are simply less things inside a modern PS3. According to iSuppli, the number of parts inside a PS3 has fallen from 4,048 to only 2,820. Since launch, Sony has reworked the innards of the PS3 to include combined chips. The falling price of components also helps Sony a lot: the Cell processor cost $89 at launch, but now only costs $46 to make.

Sony should be able to break even with the PS3 starting in 2009, which makes us wonder if they'll start adopting a more aggressive price strategy late next year. We hope so -- they need a way to make themselves attractive to customers, without breaking the bank.

The Godfather II Multiplayer Hands-On

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SU_MlJosB2I/AAAAAAAAAaw/-2qMNJrAY-U/s320/1229667624.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282665826542684002" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SU_MZGtj3uI/AAAAAAAAAao/9RmBImmTWJE/s320/1229667545.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5282665619599384290" />
Despite the underlying strategy element of the single player game, The Godfather II’s multiplayer is more about the action, with a few twists thrown in to keep things interesting. For one, the character you choose to play with isn’t just some generic soldier. He’ll be one of your soldiers from in the game, preferably someone you’ve leveled up with a ton of different skills and upgrades.

Soldiers in your family can acquire specialties, or they can have them already when you recruit them. Abilities like safe-cracking, arson, medic and demolitions are all skills that will help you in the single player game as well as multiplayer slapdowns. Members of your crew can also accrue upgrades, not unlike in an RPG. You’ll want to take your best soldiers online, the ones who’ve unlocked higher gun ratings (giving them access to better weaponry and better accuracy) or recovery time

The relative skills of your soldiers is important to being successful in some of the multiplayer game modes. It’s not all straight up Team Deathmatch, but that is there for those that love it (i.e. everyone). The four multiplayer modes include:

Fire Starter – You’ll need crew members with the Arsonist ability to light fires at specific point on the map to earn points. You don’t have to be all arsonists, in fact, it might be a good idea for a couple crack shots to help out escorting your specialists around to the different ignition points.

Safe Cracker – Again, there are points on the map (marked clearly on your in game minimap) where a specialist is needed. This time it’s safe crackers, who must get to a safe and capture it without getting killed. Again, escorting those guys around could be crucial to scoring more cash than the other team. Assault – You’ll need demolitions guys this time, who must blow up certain points on the map. Making this one a bit more interesting is that the detonation points are usually walls, which are then open as a new route to the enemy for everyone involved.

Team Deathmatch – It’s, um, team deathmatch.

Even though there’s a lot of skill specialization in The Godfather II’s multiplayer mode, one would hardly confuse it with Team Fortress. Still, the added dimension of skills and upgrades makes the game a little more than Quake II in fedoras. The Online Honors system allows you to keep what you’ve earned in multiplayer (money, upgrades, etc.) in the single player mode. Just like when you brought your buffed up guy over in the first place. But that does bring up one interesting point/flaw. You can’t really play multiplayer until you’ve recruited at least one henchman in the single player game – which you do in the first couple missions, granted. So if you were planning on jumping straight into multiplayer without even trying out the single player, forget it.

At this point, single player is looking a bit more interesting than multiplayer for The Godfather II. Siliconera suggests that the Asian version will also ship in February and most interestingly will be entirely in English. The site recently went hands-on with a new build at the Asia Game Show in Hong Kong and have discovered that the demo was, in fact, completely in English.

Now, it is possible that the final release in Asia may not be in that language; however, that is really moot. It's most important to note that there is some form of English language version and it is currently in the works. At the moment, there haven't been any mention from either SCEA or SCEE in regards to North American and European releases for Demon's Souls.

PlayStation Store Update

Hey, everyone. We thought we were done with LittleBigPlanet news after the game's release, but it seems the game just won't stop growing. While this patch news is nothing compared to the reveal of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid pack, it's still pretty snazzy. LittleBigPlanet is now at version 1.07 and the patch is pretty hefty (a whopping 67MB).

The update adds a new section to the LittleBigPlanet section of the game: the LittleBigStore. Here you can see all the costumes and packs that are currently for sale and purchase them. Bought a costume and don't want to search through your Popit menu for it? Simply select it in the in-game store and you'll automagically put it on. Pretty handy. Selecting a pack will "award" you with the items, just like at the end of a tutorial level, so you can see exactly what it contains.

The second big addition in version 1.07 is a revamp of the level search screen. You can now view the highest rated levels, the most hearted levels, the newest levels and the busiest levels. You can also search for levels via a text string, or via tags. Hopefully this will make finding awesome levels a lot easier.

PAIN is the most downloaded game on PSN in 2008

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 182px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SUwM-BgNu6I/AAAAAAAAAZs/6_QiSJ-GdDg/s320/toppsndol425.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5281610722693725090" />
The latest episode of Pulse reveals the top PSN game downloads of 2008. At the top of the list is Idol Minds' PAIN. This isn't too surprising, considering it was included for free with the Metal Gear Solid 4 PS3 bundle earlier this year. The Trophy list reveals some exciting details about the upcoming expansion pack. For example, "Rexecutioner" will have you going against a LBP recreation of Metal Gear REX. Looks like Sackpeople will be packin' some heat in the expansion in the form of a paintball gun. If you buy the level pack, you'll be able to include this new paintballing mechanic to your levels. So says SCEE community manager TedTheDog.

Hopefully this patch will be shortly followed by the release of some new content, which was announced last week. Namely, the Diesel and Ligne Roset shops, the Red Bull Air Race space, the Media and Events space and (for Europe) the Far Cry 2 and Uncharted game spaces. We're trying our best to find out what Sony's plan is for future content releases but, until we get an answer, it looks like we'll have to remain patient a little while longer.

[UPDATE] This patch marks the "first step" towards the solution to the server issues, so don't expect things to be magically fixed on Thursday.

Home Hacked

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 169px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SUlq2VddkmI/AAAAAAAAAYU/BAkhbwG_sys/s320/47361.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280869519774814818" />
Less than a week after it launched, reports are coming in that users have hacked Home, Sony's virtual world for the PlayStation 3. Yeah, that really was quick, wasn't it?

A report in the Telegraph says vulnerabilities in the code have allowed enterprising Home users to customize the online world beyond the basic options provided by Sony. One hack makes use of the Apache web server and DNS redirection to allow users to play movies on virtual display screens and to change in-world text and music to anything they want. Users can employ a different hack to download any files they want from the Sony server, including the profiles and avatars of other users.

Of greater risk, however, is the ability to upload files to, or delete files from, Sony's Home servers. The report says such vulnerabilities expose Home users to viruses and other malicious software, and also leaves Home itself open to attacks which could force it offline. The report suggests Sony may open the platform to legitimate third-party development to provide an official and controlled channel for such "tweaking," and also to help build a more robust Home "ecosystem."

Bit-tech.net says advertisements in Home have been specifically targeted by hackers who have replaced standard posters with images of their own, providing a link to YouTube footage that purports to show the results of one such hack. Instructions for this "easily repeatable" mod have been posted online, but you'll have to find them for yourself, you dirty hacker.

Home went into open beta on December 11, and was immediately attacked for being outdated by Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg, who said, "When they unveiled it, it seemed innovative. I think what's happened is now here we are a couple of years later and we feel beyond that. It feels like 2005 tech in 2008. I'm not sure that's what people want."

PlayStation Network Regular Scheduled Maintenance

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 312px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SUgYE1nha5I/AAAAAAAAAYE/5sU5eqtnSvs/s320/PSN_logo_color_trans.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5280497034483297170" />
Parts of PlayStation Network will be down this morning for regular scheduled maintenance. However, a large majority of our readers agree that there is potential for Home to become something much greater than what it is now.

Home's European service manager Dan Hill seems to agree. Speaking with CVG, Hill states that "if you buy a PS3 and you grow with us, as Home evolves, you are going to become part of something very special, something unlike you can experience anywhere else." He adds that "no-one else is doing anything of this scale or ambition."

"Today, we are at the beginning of a long journey - now is the time to start its evolution." There's a long way to go before we see the fruits of Sony's labor, and we're cautiously optimistic that they can deliver. "In time I would say that Home will definitely become a reason to purchase [PS3]."

Infinity Ward to stop making DLCs for Call of Duty 4

Unfortunately, there won't be any more DLCs coming your way for Call of Duty 4 (PS3, Xbox 360, PC). But why would Infinity Ward pull such a mean stunt? Well, it's more of unfortunate than mean, actually. But there's actually a very good reason for this move.

That's because they're all gonna be busy prepping for their next title. That's right, no less than Infinity Ward's communications head, Rob Bowling, divulged this detail over at the Xbox Forums. According to him, "Every level designer/ texture artist/ environmental artist/ etc. working on a new map for a previous game is one less working on a map for a future game."

Makes sense, don't it? Anyway, it's not hard to figure out what "future game" he was referring to that would require everyone's participation in the developmental process. They've already confirmed another Call of Duty next year, remember?

First Assassins Creed 2 Details Accidentally Revealed

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 238px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SUVRfA_RLUI/AAAAAAAAAXE/MO-cnHHh2Ak/s320/assassins-creed-10.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279715731444936002" />
Prince of Persia animation director David Wilkinson seems to have slipped the first information on Assassin's Creed 2... which hasn't even been officially announced yet. Speaking in a very frank interview with AusGamers, Wilkinson was quizzed on the current status of Assassin's animation guru Alex Drouin.
"He's busy making Altair even more beautiful," Wilkinson revealed. "Last thing I saw him do was getting Altair to swim."

Uh-oh, someone's going to get sacked...
So it looks like Altair will be assassinating bad men from the watery deep - and if we know Ubisoft, probably reaching up and dragging guards into the drink with him as well. Ubisoft hasn't said much of a second game, apart from making it clear that Assassin's Creed is "a franchise". So there will be more games.

The conclusion to the original also heavily hints at plot points for a follow-up.

Home servers now live; you can now go Home

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 177px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SUQO2L9hNOI/AAAAAAAAAWc/w5F7Y4f7ZkI/s320/gamingiswinnar1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5279360987271607522" />
If you're not one of our many readers who've been continuously pressing F5 for the last nine hours or so, you might be unaware that the Home open beta is now live for all regions.

Don't look at us like that. Mark that date on your calendar. That's the day when North Americans can finally push back the Helghast to the wasteland planet where they came from. The news came out of G4TV where a Sony representative showed off some footage of new weapons for Killzone 2. Watch that vid after the break.

Interestingly, Feb. 27 is a Friday and not the usual Tuesday release date we're so used to seeing in North America. Friday is typically the day games come out in Europe, and while SCEE refrains from getting specific, they've told Eurogamer: "We are targeting a similar timeframe for the release of Killzone 2 in the PAL regions." To us, a worldwide release on that day seems very likely.

Skate 2 Exclusive Skitching Trailer HD

Its alright,graphics kinda crappy tho.Cant wait to play it

First Look - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

It has finally been confirmed, Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves is the title for the new game and Game Informer has the low down for more of your Uncharted 2 Needs. Well you may not be able to look like him without major cosmetic surgery, but you can dress like him and, now, fondle his weapon.

An airsoft replica of Drake's gun is available now for $170 at King Of Swords and comes with a free aluminum carrying case. For the full specs check out the site. It's a pretty replica, certainly, but we'd much rather put it in a glass case and stare at it than actually shoot it. It allows the user to put down a tri-pod, which means the user then cannot move. However, a shield is put up infront of the user making them almost invincible to attacks from the front. The game looks pretty nice and we hope it jump-starts the classic franchise back to life -- a lot of lesser movies and TV series' have been getting brought back, after all. What's interesting, but not in the video, is the use of Sixaxis for the PS3: apparently, you use it to control the trajectory of your ghost-bustin' stream. Of course, crossing them is a bad idea unless you're facing the final boss, we'd imagine.

Get Ready For Bioshock On PS3 This September

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SC9uIS9eVfI/AAAAAAAAAM0/DMm9tbIKCBg/s320/Bioshock-Concept-Art-1171.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201497183443899890" />
Boston (eCanadaNow) - Reports state that Bioshock is finally set to hit the Sony PS3 this coming September.

The latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) along with other sources have stated that the PS3 version of Bioshock will release this coming September.

The PS3 version of Bioshock wil include all of the previously released downloadable content, as well as improved visuals over the Xbox 360 and PC version.

PS3 owners have been clamoring for Bioshock on their next-gen console ever since it launched on the Xbox 360, and it appears it is finally ready to happen.

GTAIV sells like crazy, console sales neck and neck

It's that time again when corporate execs are held accountable for their actions, sales figures are calculated and the North American "digits" are revealed. It's time for April NPD! W00t!

Last month's video game competition was a heated race between Microsoft and Sony as the Xbox 360 was able to move 188,000 units narrowly beating out the PS3's 187,100. That news on top of Microsoft announcing the 360's 10 million U.S. milestone make it a pretty good month for team Microsoft. Though, Nintendo's Wii continues to dominate even without Grand Theft Auto IV's help moving an amazing 714,200 consoles. Speaking of GTAIV, it rocked the final week of April selling a jaw-dropping 1.85 million units on the 360 alone which is nearly double that of the 1 million units it sold on the PS3. And that's always good to hear. Check the break for a complete rundown of the April NPD hardware and software data.

[Via Joystiq]

April Hardware Sales
1. Unfortunately these spaces seem pretty small, with you seemingly only able to fit one or two cars in them. I am pleased to announce that this is not the case.

If you want to keep a large car collection, you can do so, as it turns out that only one wheel of the vehicle needs to be inside the designated parking area in order for it to be saved. This means that with a little patience, and some careful driving, it is possible to save several different cars in one parking space.

There is one problem with this method however, and that is the fact that it can be murder to try and get out the car that is rammed in behind all the rest. Still, it's quite a neat little trick, and means that you should be able to fit in at least 4 cars comfortably.

What do you think? Will you be trying to cram in as many cars as possible, or keeping it nice and need with just a couple? These trophies are reportedly different to the 3D ones set to feature in Home later this year.

Another report over on Kotaku substantiates the claim somewhat. It points to a Sony fact sheet about upcoming PSN title PixelJunk Eden, which shows that one of the game's "key features" will be "Trophy Support", although it's unclear exactly what this is.

This news may be of certain interest to many consumers interested in the rise of MGS4 next month, to coincide with a new update perhaps for in-game achievements.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SC81mi9eVVI/AAAAAAAAALM/gDtiNJ2pu6g/s320/thumb.php.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201435030972159314" />

New Burnout Paradise Location Revealed

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SC8yEi9eVOI/AAAAAAAAAKU/prdtQq9sBBQ/s320/2496872221_71d0a85ff0.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201431148321723618" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SC8x-S9eVNI/AAAAAAAAAKM/RiGRzlEi_ao/s320/2496871983_13d4d97e3d.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201431040947541202" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SC8x3i9eVMI/AAAAAAAAAKE/7zmzg03klUI/s320/2496872339_6c7dbe5906.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201430924983424194" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SC8xwS9eVLI/AAAAAAAAAJ8/3Dej0vzvxZI/s320/2496871827_2148b0c878.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201430800429372594" />

Criterion Games unveiled today a new location from the upcoming Davis update for Burnout Paradise.

Here's a great video from the world team. Right now, Joystiq's Chris Grant is getting some time with the title (we're insanely jealous!). While we wait to hear back, we'd like to present you the story, straight from the fine folks at Sony.

"Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA is taking the fight to the enemy's home world of Helghan. The ISA goal is direct: capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, and bring the Helghast war machine to a halt. Assuming the role of Sev, a battle-hardened veteran and a member of the special forces unit known as the Legion, players will lead a group of highly trained soldiers on a mission to take out the Helghast threat. For Sev and his squad, the invasion of Helghan is just the beginning. Tasked with securing Pyrrhus, the Capital City, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to the planet's hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power they can now use against the ISA. Sev discovers his squad isn't just fighting enemy forces – their fiercest opponent may be the planet itself."

From what we saw at our E3 preview, we know exactly how terrifying the weather in Killzone 2 can be. Massive thunderstorms can come in at whim, thanks to a new technology developed by the Helghast. To say that it will make for some epic battles is quite the understatement. Stay tuned for more.

Motorstorm Pacific Rift Pics

Click Pic To See Gallery<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SC8iky9eVEI/AAAAAAAAAJI/dagibHjEVZg/s320/ms_2008-03-07_004.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201414110186460226" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp2.blogger.com/_Mr7t5Hl3w9s/SC8igy9eVDI/AAAAAAAAAJA/CC0GxvjNKxs/s320/ms_2008-03-07_003.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5201414041466983474" />
